The Princess and My Mother

I have been in the process of packing up 15 years of my life in an apartment in Chicago. So sorting and purging "stuff" seems to be never ending. Much to my surprise, I found this pic in a box of old photos.
Check out my moms dress, very similar in style to the princess. I thought it was kinda cool!
My mom came from a very poor and humble family. She told me just yesterday, that she borrowed the dress. It was returned the minute the wedding ceremony was over.
Talk about Cinderella...
